BRIEF

Royal Stacks, a Melbourne burger chain, asked us to document their VIP launch event to celebrate their latest store opening. The video was to reflect the vibe of the event – fun, fast paces, full of colour and energy, and focus on the people more than simply the food itself.

EXECUTION

Events can be fun, however it’s important to go in with a plan and a shot list. We ensured to make note of all the significant guests ahead of time to enable us to deliver something which ticked the box for Royal Stacks, and wasn’t just a collection of good looking footage.

Having said that, it was important to blend in, have a good time, and also just let things come. The beauty of events is things are not always scripted, so finding the balance is something we tried to do with the filming of this piece. Editing was a fun process once we selected music – cutting fast-paced videos to music can be tedious, but the result is worth the effort.

FINAL THOUGHTS

We feel the video does exactly what the client wanted – to give life to a newly opened location and further extend the credibility of the brand through engagement with celebrities and influencers. The night was fun, the process was fun, and we feel the end product reflect this. Thanks for having us, Royal Stacks!
